Walled Lake teachers value and respect the paraprofessionals in our district!

Sadly, our Walled Lake Paraeducators have been working without a contract since July.

Paraeducators do so much everyday to assist our Walled Lake students and teachers. We could not our jobs without them!

To our paras, we see you and we stand with you! đź’—

Last week, the Walled Lake Education Association and the Walled Lake Paraprofessional Association met for the screening and recommendation of candidates for the upcoming school board election on November 3rd.

We are pleased to announce our continuing endorsement of current board members Mike Smith and Ron Lippitt, and a new endorsement for first-time candidates Amanda Levine and Erin Johnson. 🎉

We encourage you to vote for Levine, Smith, Johnson, and Lippitt in the November school board election.

School funding is a complicated beast. Make sure you're fully informed about how it all works and why county millages are necessary. The 1.5 mils being asked for in Oakland County are less than those asked for in Wayne or Macomb Counties.
