Euchre with Some Characters!

Every Wednesday, a bunch of Darby Connections characters take over the Irish Tavern to play Euchre, make fun of each other, and somehow manage to make a few new friends.

It's one of our nine weekly Casual Euchre nights around Metro Detroit, but this location has a personality of its own. Let's just say the crowd is a little more... colorful!

Some are good players. Some THINK they're good players. And some are a struggle to get to shut up long enough to play a card!

We play for fun, friendship, and a $25 weekly gift card. And yes, we make the winner pose for a ridiculous group picture while everyone points at them!

No partner needed. No entry fee. All skill levels welcome. Just bring a sense of humor!

Every Wednesday at the Irish Tavern in downtown Lake Orion!

Come join the circus. We could use a few more characters!

On Thursday, our euchre crew pulled up a chair at Little Camille’s by the Green in Casco, the newest addition to our locations around southeast Michigan. Some new people joined us, along with familiar faces from a few of our other locations who took their euchre game on the road. Nothing like a familiar card game to get a new group talking.

Three of us squeezed in a round at Michigan Meadows Golf Course beforehand—a little late-season golf before switching our attention to an entirely different kind of club. ♣️

Then it was time to shuffle up, meet our tablemates, and see what the cards had in store. Jimmy ended up taking the win—and a bonus T-shirt! New location, new shirt, and bragging rights? A pretty good night for Jimmy.

That’s the fun of another place to play: new people to partner with, familiar friends to catch up with, and another reason to get out of the house.

Thanks to everyone who came out and helped us get the cards flying in Casco! Join us next week at Little Camille’s by the Green for more euchre, good company, and a little friendly competition. There’s a seat at the table waiting for you!

A Great Start at the Blue Goose Inn!

We kicked off Casual Euchre at the Blue Goose Inn in St. Clair Shores Monday night, and what a great start! Fantastic food, wonderful service, plenty of room to grow, and a fun bunch of people who hit it off right away!

The Blue Goose is one of two new locations opening this week, bringing Darby Connections to nine locations across Metro Detroit, including three on the east side!

Looking for new friends, fun adventures, or just a reason to get out of the house? About 250 different people play Euchre with us every month! That's a lot of opportunities to meet interesting people, make new friends, and expand your social circle. You never know who you'll meet or where those friendships might lead!

Our established locations typically draw 30–40 players every week, but here's a little secret: the best time to join is NOW! New locations start with smaller, friendlier groups where it's easier to learn names, share laughs, and make real connections. Perfect if you're a little shy or showing up solo!

And don't worry, we're not playing for the World Euchre Championship! There's no entry fee, no partner needed, and a $25 gift card for the winner. Enough to make things interesting without anyone flipping a table over a bad hand!

Help Us Fill the Blue Goose!
Blue Goose Inn — St. Clair Shores
Every Monday at 6:00 PM

The first few weeks set the personality of a new group, and we'd love for YOU to be part of it! Come alone, bring a friend, or drag that person who's been saying they need to get out more!

Don't wait until we're packed with 40 players. Get in early, meet the original crew, and help us build something special!
Come for the Euchre. Stay for the people!

For those unfamiliar with Casual Euchre, it's the foundation of Darby Connections, where our motto is "Making Friends and Keeping Them!"

Euchre is a great way to meet new people, but that's just the beginning! We organize other activities that help turn those introductions into lasting friendships. Many of our members have become close friends and regularly get together outside of our organized events.

One of the best things about joining a new location early is helping shape the group from the beginning. Those first players often develop some of the strongest friendships as the group grows.

Our established locations typically attract 30 to 40 players every week, but every successful location started with a small group of people willing to give it a try.

Let's make The Blue Goose our next success story! Come out tonight, enjoy some Euchre, meet some new friends, and help us build something special in St. Clair Shores!

We had a great group at Northville Pickleball today! We welcomed a couple of new players—one very experienced and one just getting started. That's the beauty of our group and the Teams & Scores system! We have players of all skill levels, so there's a place for everyone.

We've played all summer and couldn't be happier with Northville Pickleball Club!

Please RSVP early! We're heading into the busy season, and we may need to reserve more courts to accommodate everyone.

Come join the fun!
