We are celebrating you today, Londa! 🥳
December 1st might not be an important date to you, but it is to our Director, Londa A. Strong. Why? you ask... this date is the anniversary start date of her career with Cabarrus County. Londa has worked with Cabarrus County Government for 40 years, 🎉 and she's often asked when is she going to retire... Her response is "The impact that Active Living and Parks Department has on the County is why I continue to work. I enjoy seeing kids on the playgrounds, folks walking the trails, the number of active seniors, and most of all the HUGS and THANK-YOUS. Most everyday of my 40 years with Cabarrus County have been amazing and I have Steve Little to thank for hiring the kid from Kentucky right out of college. Great Board of Commissions, administration, and the staff is absolutely amazing!" 😃 If you see Londa today, wish her a Happy 40th Anniversary! 🤩

For the 17th consecutive year, the Wendy Gainey Memorial Christmas Tree is standing tall in the rotunda of the Cabarrus County Government Center.
🎄 The tree has a special purpose—to help meet local wishes and needs this holiday season.
🎄 Cabarrus residents are invited to join County employees in selecting a tag from the tree and making a holiday wish a reality for local children, senior citizens, veterans and more.
🎄 Trees are located in the Government Center, branches of the Cabarrus County Library System, Sheriff's Office and Department of Human Services building.
‼ Gifts must be unwrapped and returned to the original tag location by December 3 at 5 p.m. Please call 704-920-3484 for more information. 🎄
