Bring your soil samples in and learn exactly what your soil needs for better plant and soil health! Healthy soil helps protect our local water quality by reducing runoff, erosion, and excess nutrients entering our waterways. 🌿
Drop off your samples at the Cabarrus Soil & Water Conservation District office by the first Thursday of each month so we can include them in our monthly shipment for testing.
Improving your soil starts with knowing what’s in it—bring in a sample and let us help you grow strong, sustainable landscapes while keeping our soil and water protected!

Cabarrus County is currently experiencing drought conditions, and every drop counts. 💧 While we can’t control the weather, we can all take simple steps to conserve water and protect our local resources.
Here are a few easy ways to help:
• Fix leaks around your home—they add up quickly
• Water lawns early in the morning or late in the evening to reduce evaporation
• Turn off the tap while brushing your teeth
• Use a broom instead of a hose to clean driveways and sidewalks
• Only run dishwashers and washing machines with full loads
Small actions across our community can make a big difference during drought conditions. Let’s work together to conserve today and protect tomorrow. 🌱
