When:Monday, June 1 - Saturday, August 1st
Where:At all six Cabarrus County Library branches, plus wherever your imagination can take you!
What:Register for Beanstack with your library card track hours online or grab a paper log once the program begins!
Different age groups will have different challenges and activities, but ALL ages will be able to win prizes and attend amazing programs!
Some age groups will also be eligible to earn raffle tickets for prize baskets given out at the end of August.

Our 5th graders practiced for their promotion ceremony this morning and are spending this afternoon celebrating the end of their elementary school journey with friends! ☀️🎉 The sun is shining, it’s hot outside, and the smiles are everywhere. We are so proud of this amazing group of students and will miss them so much next year. Once a Falcon, always a Falcon! ❤️

Today we celebrate Speech-Language Pathologist Appreciation Day and the incredible work of our Furr Elementary SLPs, Mrs. Hyde and Mrs. Carter! 💙

Mrs. Hyde and Mrs. Carter play such an important role in helping students find their voices, build confidence, and strengthen communication skills that support success both in and out of the classroom. From articulation and language development to social communication, their impact is felt every single day.

We are so grateful for their patience, dedication, and care they give to our students. Thank you, Mrs. Hyde and Mrs. Carter, for helping our learners grow, connect, and thrive!

We “popped” into the end of Teacher Appreciation Week with a popcorn bar for our amazing staff! 🍿From sweet to salty, it was a fun way to celebrate the incredible teachers and staff members who make Furr such a special place every single day. We are so lucky as a school community to have had the opportunity to celebrate and spoil our staff all week long. Thank you for everything you do for our students and families!

May is Physical Fitness & Sports Month! 🏃‍♀️⚽💪

At Furr Elementary, we’re celebrating the importance of staying active, building healthy habits, and having fun through movement! Our students stay active every day through daily recess and PE class with Coach Pearl, where they build skills, teamwork, and a lifelong love of fitness.

Whether it’s running on the playground, learning new games in PE, or participating in sports, every moment of movement helps our students grow stronger—physically, mentally, and socially.

We encourage our students and families to keep moving together this month and make fitness a fun part of everyday life!

At Furr Elementary, we celebrate the rich cultures, traditions, and contributions of Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander communities. This month is a special opportunity to honor the diverse histories and voices that help shape our world and strengthen our school community.

We are proud to learn, grow, and celebrate together as we recognize the impact of AANHPI individuals—past and present.

Today we’re celebrating our April Falcon All Stars! Mr. Simmons, our 4th grade teacher, is incredibly involved with his student and they respect him deeply! Mrs. Ward, our 3–5 lead teacher, has been such a valuable support by providing materials and ideas to teachers. We are so lucky to have both of them on our team!
