SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT
-Good morning, CAMS!
This weekend is Halloween! While you’re out trick-or-treating, remember to keep your own safety in mind. You are hard to see in the dark at night! Make sure you are wearing reflective clothing or stickers, especially if you are wearing a black or dark-colored costume. Look both ways before you cross the street, and keep your eye out for younger kids who may not be as aware of the road as you are. Travel in a pack rather than by yourself so you can help protect each other. Finally, stay on porches and front yards - don’t go inside a stranger’s house, especially if you travel without your parents. You can always ask Officer Meader for safety tips if you’re unsure about anything. Have fun out there!
-And now back to you!

INTERESTING FACT:
Thanks, _______. Did you know the first Jack-o'-lanterns were carved out of turnips and potatoes in Ireland, inspired by the legend of Stingy Jack, before Irish immigrants switched to pumpkins in America?

October is ADHD Awareness Month, an annual campaign dedicated to sharing reliable education, reducing stigma, and supporting children and adults with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder. ADHD is a neurodevelopmental condition that affects how the brain manages attention, executive function, and impulse control. People who struggle with ADHD often find that writing down their thoughts help them to process and remember important tasks. Color-coding information with folders, highlighters, and different colored pens can also help keep you organized and improve both memory and focus. For more information, you can check out ADHD Awareness Month dot org, scan the QR code from the slides, or check out a book in the library to learn more!
