Still glowing from today’s first-ever Flourish & Nourish Ladies Luncheon 💐

The room was full of laughter, good food, and a whole lot of heart. So grateful to Iron Chef Cat Cora for joining us and sharing her inspiring story of breaking barriers and giving back, and to presenting sponsor Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital for making it all possible.

To the women who pulled up a chair: thank you. Your support helps neighbors across Montgomery County who don’t know where their next meal is coming from.

More pictures coming soon! 📸

The garden is in full flourish this Thursday! With just two days until Flourish & Nourish, we’re honored to celebrate some of the sponsors making this inaugural Ladies Luncheon possible.

Thank you to our Photo Booth Sponsor, Howard Hughes Communities; our Ch*****ne Reception Sponsor, Comcast; and our Dessert Sponsor, Cypress-Woodlands Junior Forum. Your partnership helps bring this day to life and allows Montgomery County Food Bank to keep uniting the community in the fight against hunger.

We had a wonderful day at Montgomery County Food Bank last Friday with Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital as they joined us for their I CARE in Action Day! Their team worked side by side sorting and packing fresh, nourishing food for neighbors across our community.

At Montgomery County Food Bank, we believe that healthy food leads to healthy neighbors, and healthy neighbors build healthy communities. It was especially meaningful to share that mission with a team dedicated to caring for the health of our region every day. Every box packed helps put fresh produce and wholesome staples on tables throughout Montgomery County.

Thank you, Houston Methodist, for putting your values into action and giving your time to support our mission. We’re grateful for your commitment to our neighbors and for joining us in building a healthier, hunger-free community!

The need for help is real in Montgomery County. Yesterday, more than 120 families received food assistance at a single mobile distribution.

Mobile markets take help straight to the neighborhoods that need it most. Our team loads a truck, drives it into the community, and gets groceries into the hands of every household that shows up.

Those markets are one piece of a bigger network. Across the county, 90+ partner agencies serve as the food ATMs to our Food Bank, keeping pantry shelves stocked so support stays close to home year-round.

There's three ways you can help show up for these neighbors.

1. Donate: Every dollar you can give will go straight to work putting food on the table for neighbors here in our community - mcfoodbank.org/donate
2. Volunteer: We rely on our volunteers to help sort, inspect, and pack the millions of meals we distribute. Come be the hands that serve - mcfoodbank.org/volunteer
3. Spread the word: The reality of food insecurity in Montgomery County can be shocking to some people. But hunger does not always look like you may expect. Share this post so more people can learn, and more people can help.

And if you or someone you love needs help putting food on the table, find food assistance near you at mcfoodbank.org/findfood

Together, we are stronger in the fight against hunger.

The smallest hands can provide some of the biggest reminders of why our work matters.

Across Montgomery County, 1 in 4 children don't always know where their next meal is coming from. But you can be the reason a child doesn't go to bed hungry.
