In the darkness of the early morning hours on November 21, 2022, 25-year-old Kajala Lawson pulled into the yard of a friend’s home on Reedy Rd. in Conway, Arkansas. She should have opened her car door and gone inside. She and her friend had plans for the day.

Before she could even exit her vehicle, Kajala was shot and killed.

Although time has passed, investigators continue to pursue justice in this case with a renewed sense of direction in the investigation of her death.

One clue left behind could be the key to solving this case.

When Terry Credit Jr. was murdered on August 17, 2016, an officer responding to the area for a Shots Fired call discovered a white, plastic face mask on the ground. Not too far from it was Terry Credit Jr’s mobile home with its front door wide-open. Just beyond the door officers discovered 50-year-old Terry, deceased. The mask could potentially be one of the most significant pieces of physical evidence in this investigation.

Investigators are optimistic that advances in DNA technology may eventually provide new opportunities to identify the person who wore it. Techniques that weren’t available—or weren’t as advanced in 2016, may eventually help uncover answers that have remained out of reach for nearly a decade.

We need your help.

* Did you know Terry Credit Jr.?
* Did you work with him?
* Do you remember anyone you knew having a white plastic mask?
* Do you remember anyone talking about this case or acting suspicious after Terry’s murder?
* Were YOU there?

Investigators have been provided information about multiple possible suspects and a potential suspect vehicle from witnessing neighbors. One of those suspects may have left the white plastic mask behind.

Relationships change. People change. If you were there, know anything about the case, if you suspect someone you knew was involved, or if you overheard conversations that may help bring justice for Terry and peace to his family, you can now come forward and speak with investigators confidentially - even if you weren’t able to speak then.
