📣Conway folks! Provide Your Feedback on the Draft Master Plan.
February 28th, Open House from 4-7 PM at Cranmore Mountain Resort (Main Lodge, 2nd floor, 239 Skimobile Rd, North Conway, NH 03860).
The Town of Conway is nearing the end of a process to update its Master Plan, a policy document that guides future land use and community development decisions for a municipality. The Master Plan covers a range of topics, including transportation, housing, energy, recreation, and zoning.

The Conway Planning Board and Master Plan Steering Committee have prepared a draft of a new plan, Conway Forward, which is the result of a year-long planning process. This group is now seeking feedback to inform the final plan document.

At this event, you’ll have the opportunity to offer your input on the direction of the plan, interact with the project team and ask questions, and chat with your neighbors about the future of Conway. Attendees will also have an opportunity to learn about a new project, the Conway Housing Opportunities Plan, and share feedback to inform that process.

If you can’t make it to this event, please visit conwayforward.com to view the draft plan and provide your feedback via a brief survey.

Conway, NH is said to be a great example.
“You know, that's a very tourist driven, service industry rich place where any new home that's introduced to the market most likely is going to be bought by a second homeowner. And as a result, that town has made a lot of changes to allow for new construction of rental housing, workforce housing, senior housing, things that people in the community really need.” Rob Dapice, NH Housing, Executive Director

NHPR producers and reporters have been talking with voters across the state, and many of them told us they're concerned about access to affordable housing.

“All this reflects the fact that new technology is just the start of making a difference in something as sweeping and important as our housing.
“We don’t anticipate that this would be the only way to make houses. It’s just another tool, another solution, that can add to the housing stock,” said Dagher.
And we all know the nation’s housing crisis needs all the tools and solutions it can get. Even if they come oozing out of a gigantic printer.” David Brooks

In my career, I’ve encountered several non-traditional ways to build a home, from stacking hay bales to rolling out plastic tubes to using 3D-printed concrete. They’ve been fun to talk about but never made the slightest dent in the industry. The labor-intensive process of “stick-building” h....
