Parents, a reminder - please make sure to update your child's vaccinations by October 16, 2026, for the 2026-2027 school year.

WHO: Students new to Georgia, or students in Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, 7th grade, and students in 11th grade who are 16 years old.

WHEN: Students are required to have updated immunizations at the beginning of each school year. Students who do not have updated vaccinations will be withdrawn from school on October 16, 2026, as required by the Georgia Department of Public Health.

Please call your child's physician or the GNR Health Department at 770-785-4345 if you need to schedule an appointment

It's National School Lunch Week, October 12-16, 2026! This year's theme is "Cafeteria Circus". THANK YOU to our amazing school cafeteria and school nutrition teams who work hard to feed and care for our children! So far this school year, the RCPS School Nutrition Team has proudly served over 400,000 lunches —a testament to our commitment to student health and wellness. Research continues to show that children receive some of their healthiest meals at school. Our school lunches provide students with a 5-Star Meal—including fruits, vegetables, whole grains, protein, and milk—all while meeting federal nutrition standards that limit fat, calories, and sodium. This week we spotlight the nutritious, balanced meals offered daily in Rockdale County Public Schools.
