Members of the Lake Vermilion Fire Brigade responded to a lightning strike on a tree on Tuesday along with Greenwood, Bruiting, the USFS, and DNR. The flaming tree was cut and dropped in the lake, extinguishing the fire.

We’re grateful for the teamwork of all five responding agencies, whose coordinated efforts helped contain the fire and prevent further damage.

A big thank-you to our friends at Northern Comfort Company for their continued support of the Lake Vermilion Fire Brigade! In addition to supporting our fundraising efforts over the years, they’re now carrying and selling LVFB apparel in their store.

We hope you’ll stop in to check out the Brigade gear, plus their great selection of northwoods gifts and souvenirs, furniture, and more!

New Fire Brigade gear has arrived at LVFB Hall! Call or text Laurie Potter at 218-780-5486 to stop by and check it out!
