Cook Volunteer Fire Department

09/11/2026

Today, the Nebraska State Volunteer Firefighters Association pauses to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, including the 343 firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice while answering the call.

We honor their courage, their selflessness, and the countless acts of service that followed. May we never forget those we lost, the families who carry their memory, and the first responders whose lives were forever changed.

We remember. We honor. We will never forget.

Thank you to everyone that helped make Cook Days 2026 possible! I mean everyone. From all of the volunteers that are from all of the organizations in town, to the BBQ cooks, to everyone that bought raffle tickets from the fire department and the museum, to the businesses, all of the car show entries, holy moly, I can't name them all! It takes everyone! Please support the sponsors that give back so much to the community!

Contact any fire department member to purchase raffle tickets! We are raising funds to get closer to our goal of buying new bunker gear for all twenty-one firefighters.
