Narrative: The Otsego County Sheriff’s Office announces the arrest of the above-named Defendant following an investigation into a robbery complaint in the Town of Morris, NY. The Victim reported that the Defendant forcibly stole her vehicle and wallet using physical force during a violent domestic incident. The Defendant was later located by the New Hartford Police Department before being arrested and charged for separate criminal charges. The Defendant was then turned over to this Office, processed, and held at the Otsego County Correctional Facility awaiting centralized arraignment.

Narrative: The Otsego County Sheriff’s Office announces the arrest of the above-named Defendant following a joint investigation with the Otsego County Probation Department into a violation of an Order of Protection in the Town of New Lisbon, NY. The Defendant was found to repeatedly be in contact with the protected party, and has been previously convicted of Criminal Contempt charges in the past 5 years. The Defendant was arrested by Otsego County Probation, processed by this Office, and arraigned at Otsego County Court before being remanded to the Otsego County Correctional Facility.

Follow These Ghoulishly Good Practices:
To help ensure adults and children have a safe holiday, the American Academy of Pediatrics has compiled a list of Halloween Safety Tips, including do's and don'ts:
A responsible adult should accompany young children on the neighborhood rounds
If your older children are going alone, plan and review a route acceptable to you
Agree on a specific time children should return home
Teach your children to never enter a stranger's home or car
Instruct children to travel only in familiar, well-lit areas and stick with their friends
Tell your children not to eat any treats until they return home
All costumes, wigs and accessories should be fire-resistant
Avoid masks, which can obstruct vision
If children are allowed out after dark, fasten reflective tape to their costumes and bags, or give them glow sticks
When buying Halloween makeup, make sure it is nontoxic and always test it in a small area first
Remove all makeup before children go to bed to prevent skin and eye irritation
Children and adults are reminded to put electronic devices down, keep heads up and walk, don't run, across the street.
NSC offers these additional safety tips for parents – and anyone who plans to be on the road during trick-or-treat hours:

Watch for children walking on roadways, medians and curbs
Enter and exit driveways and alleys carefully
At twilight and later in the evening, watch for children in dark clothing

Date of arrest: 10/12/2026

Court information/incarceration: Roseboom Town Court

Narrative: The Otsego County Sheriff’s Office announces the arrest of the above named defendant following an investigation into the possession of weapons occurring in the Town of Roseboom. On October 2nd 2026, the defendant was served with a Temporary Order of Protection which prohibited the defendant from possessing fi****ms. While being served with the order of protection, the defendant denied being in possession of fi****ms. On October 5th 2026, the defendant was taken in to custody for mental health violations which resulted in an Extreme Risk Protection Order being applied for and granted through Otsego County Supreme Court. During a search of the defendant’s residence, deputies located fifty two fi****ms and multiple high capacity magazines in violation of New York State gun laws as well as a violation of the order of protection. Additionally, the defendant possessed multiple assault ri**es and unregistered handguns.

On October 12th 2026, deputies and New York State troopers were dispatched to the defendant’s residence after it was reported that he had made threats towards a neighbor. The defendant was taken in to custody on the fi****ms charges and brought to the Sheriff’s Office for processing.

The Otsego County District Attorney’s Office was consulted and recommended bail be set at $25,000 cash, $25,000 credit card or $250,000 surety bond. The defendant was processed and lodged in the Otsego County Correctional Facility to await Centralized Arraignment.

Additional charges are pending.
