As we prepare to welcome students back for the 2026-27 school year on Tuesday, Sept. 8, Interim Superintendent Ann Meccariello has shared a letter with the Cooperstown Central School District community outlining several important updates and priorities for the year ahead.

The letter includes updates on:

• Exploring regional collaboration with neighboring school districts
• A new transportation service for pre-kindergarten students
• The ongoing South End construction project and its impact on student travel and transportation
• The district’s commitment to continued communication, collaboration and expanding educational opportunities for our students

We encourage families and community members to take a few minutes to read the full letter and learn more about these important updates as we begin the new school year.

We look forward to working together with our students, families, staff and community throughout the 2026-27 school year!

We've seen an uptick in Gift Card Scams! Be sure to read these FTC tips to avoid such scams.

Only scammers will tell you to buy a gift card, like a Google Play or Apple Card, and give them the numbers off the back of the card. No matter what they say, that’s a scam. No real business or government agency will ever tell you to buy a gift card to pay them. Always keep a copy of your gift car...
