Our thoughts and prayers are with those who mourn the passing of Robertson County Mayor Billy Vogle.

This morning, our hearts are heavy as we mourn the loss of a truly great man and a dedicated public servant, Robertson County Mayor Billy Vogle.

Billy loved Robertson County and its people, and the City of Cross Plains was fortunate to have his friendship and unwavering support. He was always willing to lend a helping hand, offer guidance, or simply take the time to sit down and talk through a problem. No matter how big or small the need, Billy was always just a phone call away.

He was so much more than our County Mayor. He was a friend, a trusted leader, and someone who genuinely cared about the communities and people he served.

On behalf of the City of Cross Plains, we extend our deepest condolences to Billy’s family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched. We ask that you keep his family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Billy, thank you for your friendship, your leadership, and your years of service to Robertson County. Your kindness and dedication will not be forgotten. You will be deeply missed.

Despite what they may say, your teens are paying attention and you remain their biggest influence, especially since you hold the keys—literally. Before they get behind the wheel, make sure they know the rules for the road.

📵 Avoid distractions. Hands Free Tennessee!

🚭 Avoid substances (alcohol or drugs). None makes it safer to operate a vehicle.

🚘 Buckle up (every trip, every time!)

⚠️ Slow down. Speeding won’t get you there any faster (or safer).

💤 Avoid drowsy driving by getting enough sleep.

👥 Avoid driving with extra passengers. More people means more risk of distraction for the driver.
