🩵 Oktoberfest Fun at Ocean Ridge! 🤍

PROST to good food, great music, and even better company! 🎶🍂

Our Oktoberfest celebration last Friday was filled with laughter, smiles, and festive fun! From delicious bratwursts and warm pretzel bites with cheese sauce to refreshing b**r, we enjoyed all the flavors of Oktoberfest! 🍻🥨

A special thank you to Louis Faro for filling our community with wonderful, authentic German music! Our residents, team, and guests couldn't help but clap along, tap their feet, and enjoy the lively polka tunes! 👏🎶

Great food, cold b**r, wonderful company, and memories to cherish. That's what it's all about! 💚

Happy National Frappe Day!

After a fun day at the Farmers Market today, we cooled down with a delicious, frothy frappe! It was the perfect icy treat to sip, relax, and enjoy together. 🤎

And what made it even sweeter? Freshly baked cookies by Mila! 🍪 Even our mailman got to join in the fun and enjoy a frappe! 🥰

Nothing beats a tasty treat, good company, and sharing a little sweetness with those who stop by! 💚

🎀💕 In October, WE Wear PINK! 💕🎀

This month, we’re proudly wearing pink to help raise awareness for breast cancer and show our love and support for those who are fighting, those who have survived, and those we hold forever in our hearts. 🩷

Together, we wear pink for hope, strength, courage, and love. Every little bit of awareness makes a difference! 🌸

🌟 What an incredible day CELEBRATING the talent of our local seniors! 🌟

Ocean Ridge by Cogir Senior Living recently hosted a Senior Idol competition, and WOW, our talented contestants truly put on a show!

We had 11 amazing seniors take the stage and share their talents as they competed for a $1,000 grand prize, generously sponsored by our wonderful community partner, Harmony Homecare! 💫

From a fascinating mentalist and captivating storytellers to incredible singers including a guitar-playing vocalist, each contestant brought something unique and special to the stage. It was such a joy to celebrate the creativity, courage, and talent of seniors right here in Coos County!

🏆🌟 A HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to John Favors, our 2026 Senior Idol! John took home the Senior Idol 2026 trophy and $1,000 grand prize! Congratulations, John, on an incredible performance and a well-deserved win! 🙌🎉

While the votes were being tallied, talented local artists Steven D., Rosa, Melanie, Steven G., and Randy each shared a song with us and kept the celebration going! 🎶

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make Senior Idol possible! A special thank you to Harmony Homecare for sponsoring our grand prize; Three Rivers Casino Resort for sponsoring second place winner; Bayside Terrace by Cogir Senior Living for sponsoring third place winner; Melanie with Happy Land Family Fun & Arcade for hosting our auditions; Pony Village Mall for providing the stage; Columbia Bank for donating water; and our wonderful judges - Seth, Rosa, Melanie, and Randy for generously donating their time and helping us celebrate our contestants. 🤩

Special recognition also goes to our fantastic MC, Joanna Goslin, for keeping the event fun and engaging. Finally, to our incredible Ocean Ridge team for the delicious popcorn, hard work, planning, and heart that went into bringing it all together - you all did an AMAZING job! 👏💚

Most of all, we celebrate our contestants for stepping onto the stage and sharing their talents with our community. You are what made Senior Idol so special! 🌟

What an honor it was to bring this event to Coos County. Our hearts are full, and we’re already looking forward to Senior Idol next year! 🎤🎶🫶
