October is Dyslexia Awareness Month. This month we celebrate the strengths, talents and achievements of individuals with dyslexia while raising awareness about how dyslexia can impact learning. Together we can promote understanding, provide meaningful support and empower every student to reach their full potential by reminding them that everyone learns differently and all brains are beautiful.
Dyslexia Isn't a Disability; It's a Different Ability!

Our kindergarteners had such a fun time learning about Johnny Appleseed! Their learning was brought to life with a hands-on applesauce-making activity. The students peeled their own apples, helped prepare them, and watched as their apples turned into delicious homemade applesauce.

It was so sweet to see their excitement and pride as they made something from scratch. We love finding fun, meaningful ways to learn together and make special kindergarten memories.

This past week was National Security Guard Week and when looking for information on this here is what was found:
The 5 “C’s” of a security guard
1) Communication
2) Cautiousness (Vigilance)
3) Confidence
4) Courage
5) Compassion
We have hit the jackpot with our campus security guard - Officer Chad!!!
He is loved by our faculty, staff, students and parents. PTO honored him Friday and presented him with a fun personalized book full of gift cards to some of his favorite places. (Thank you families for your donations to make this happen.)
Thank you Officer Chad for keeping us safe and being part of our Falcon Family.

We surpassed our NTGD Goal of 30K by over 8K.
What a great response from our families for this fundraiser. Thank you all for your generous donations and loving our school so that we can better our campus.
The students from the winning classrooms enjoyed dress down all week long as well as ice cream today to celebrate their wins.
Mr. Sisk also was part of all the celebrations by dying his beard red and blue, colors chosen by the students, when we reached our goal.
Again, thank you.

Dear Parents and Guardians,
Early giving for North Texas Giving Day is officially open! Our campaign culminates on Thursday, September 17, and I would like to share why your support is so vital to our school as we transition to Founders Classical Academy of Coppell.
Unlike traditional Independent School Districts (ISDs) that rely on local property tax revenues, charter schools depend almost entirely on state funding allocations. To bridge this gap, we must be intentional and resourceful in financing our classroom needs and programs.
Participating in North Texas Giving Day helps us:
Fund Essential Programs: Fill critical financial gaps to keep our core academic offerings strong.
Expand Opportunities: Upgrade classroom technology, refresh learning materials, and sustain extracurricular activities.
Support Our Transition: Provide essential funds as we transition to Founders Classical Academy of Coppell, ensuring our students have the high-quality resources they need for a seamless and successful shift.
Our goal this year is $30,000. Because early giving is active right now, you don't have to wait until September 17 to make an impact. Every gift—no matter the size—moves us closer to our target.
Headmaster Challenge & Classroom Competition!
The Headmaster Challenge: A few years ago, when we hit our goal, I dyed my beard blue. Many of you have asked if I would bring back a challenge—so if we reach our $30,000 goal this year, I will dye my beard orange!
Classroom Prizes: When making your donation, please include your student's name and class in the donor notes so your classroom gets credit. Here is what classes can win:
1st Place: 1 week of free dress + Pizza and ice cream party with Mr. Sisk and Mrs. Blackmon
2nd Place: 1 week of free dress + Ice cream party with Mr. Sisk and Mrs. Blackmon
3rd Place: 1 week of free dress + Extra recess with Mr. Sisk and Mrs. Blackmon
Top Homeroom (Per Grade Level): 1 week of free dress
School-Wide Celebration: Free dress day + School-wide popsicle party for everyone if we meet our overall target!
Please consider donating today and sharing our link with family and friends.
Thank you for your dedication to our students and school community. Together, we are creating a brighter future for our children (and an orange beard for me!
Warm regards,
Christopher Sisk
