Our time at CHP has sadly come to an end and Story Hour is officially moving back to the church (CUPC - 63 Alleghany Road). We will see you tomorrow (10/07 at 10:30 am). After our last site visit, we have an update on our construction project. Completion is now expected by the end of October. As this project has taken longer to complete than anticipated, we understand that many of our patrons have been inconvenienced by our extended closure. The library board and staff has worked diligently for years to secure grant funding for this project and we are grateful for the opportunity to make lasting improvements to the library. We sincerely appreciate your continued understanding and patience. We can’t wait to welcome everyone back to the library!

I think it is readily apparent that we need a therapy dog at Story Hour every week! 😄🐾 Many thanks to Graham Cracker and the Stringham family for a fantastic Story Hour. Special thanks to Eli who did a terrific job as our guest reader. We know many of you will be getting ready for school this week but we'll be at CHP for Story Hour this Wednesday (9/02 @ 10:30) for anyone available!

Who remembers last summer's mystery reader and his fabulous reading of Don't Trust Fish? Since Mr. Stringham's identity is no longer a secret, he's coming back this time with Graham Cracker. Graham Cracker is a certified therapy dog and will be our special guest at this week's Story Hour (Wednesday, 8/26 @ 10:30 am). Come meet Graham, listen to some stories, and learn all about therapy dogs! 🐾📚

A busy first half of the week! Join us Monday at the Farmers Market for Community Day. Jan from Rooted In Joy Farm will be with us from 5:00 - 7:00 pm (or while supplies last) with flowers to make beautiful bouquets. 💐 Tuesday morning, we are back at CHP to welcome the Buffalo Audubon Society at 11:00 am for Cold Blooded Critters. 🐢🐍 Ambassador animals will be present!

Construction update: prep work for the installation of the v***r barrier is nearing completion and work on a new ramp should start soon! Unfortunately, our date for re-opening has been pushed back until at least mid September. We apologize for the inconvenience! While we know that this news is disappointing, this project ensures that the library will be able to serve the community for many years to come. In the meantime, remember that you can use your Corfu library card at any Nioga library (or sign up for a card through Buffalo Erie County Library- they're free!) as well as utilize digital resources available through Libby and Hoopla. Story Hour will continue at CHP throughout the month of August and come visit us August 17th at the Corfu Farmers Market for Community Day. 💞
