Atkins Memorial Library The Atkins Memorial Library was founded in 1937 by Charles & Maud Atkins as a tribute to their late son, Lewis.

Today, we're committed to restoring this beautiful space as a vibrant hub for knowledge, connection, and community for all generations.

There's something special about coming together as a community during the Christmas season. ❤️🎄

Join us at Atkins Memorial Library on Friday, December 4, for an evening of Christmas carols, s'mores, a visit from Santa, and of course, lighting up the Christmas tree!

We'll be celebrating from 6:00–8:00 PM, with the tree lighting at 6:45 PM.
Bring the family, bundle up, and come enjoy a little Christmas magic with us. We hope to see you there!

📚 Let’s Talk Books! 🍂

We’re always looking for our next great read, and who better to ask than our own library community? 💙

What are you reading and loving right now? Maybe it’s a book you couldn’t put down, one that made you laugh, a mystery that kept you guessing, or a cozy read perfect for a fall afternoon.

Drop the title in the comments! You might just help someone else discover their next favorite book. And who knows? It might even inspire a future addition to our shelves! 📖

Happy reading from all of us at Atkins Memorial Library! 💙

🍂 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! 🍂

Help us get our community ready for winter at our Fall Leaf Pick-Up Party on Saturday, November 14th, from 9 AM–12 PM! 🍁

We’re looking for helping hands to rake, bag leaves, and tidy up around the library. Whether you can stay for the whole morning or just stop by for a little while, every bit of help makes a difference!

☕ We’ll have hot cocoa to keep our volunteers warm while we work!

Bring your helping hands, dress for the weather, and join us for a morning of community spirit. We’d be so grateful for your help in keeping our library grounds looking their best! ❤️

Interested in volunteering?
Let us know in the comments or send us a message!

Our next teen book club book is Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones!

Sophie Hatter never expected much excitement from her life—until a strange encounter with a witch leaves her under a powerful curse. Seeking a way to break it, Sophie finds herself in the moving castle of the mysterious wizard Howl, a place filled with magic, secrets, and unexpected adventures. As she gets to know Howl and his unusual companions, Sophie discovers that there may be more to both herself and the wizard than meets the eye.

🏰 Full of whimsical magic, quirky characters, and unexpected twists, Howl’s Moving Castle is a charming fantasy adventure about courage, self discovery, and finding your place in the world.

📚 Have you read this magical classic? We’d love to hear what you think!
