Every vacant storefront means a missing local business and less tax base that isn't helping carry the load for homeowners.

My approach:
1. A vacancy registry so empty storefronts get filled
2. Consistent code enforcement for neglected buildings
3. A stronger commercial tax base, alongside careful Town spending, to ease the tax burden on residents.

Yesterday was a DAY!

We started the morning knocking doors across Cornwall and ended it at our back to school BBQ — delicious food, bouncy house, pumpkin decorating with lots of laughs, familiar friends, and plenty of new faces? Can’t beat that on a lovely sunny Saturday afternoon 😎

There’s nothing better than seeing neighbors come together, meeting people who are getting involved for the first time, and feeling the energy building as we head toward November!

And a huge thank you to everyone who knocked a door, stopped by, brought a friend, helped out, or just came to spend some time with us (and the dunk tank :)) We appreciate you! 💙

Feeling it at the pump?

Cornwall is paying the price for decisions made in Washington. Republican policies in Washington don’t stop at the Beltway. They show up in our household budgets, our commutes, and the cost of everyday life right here at home.

Regular gas in New York is up to $4.48/gallon. For Cornwall families, that means more money just to get to work, school, appointments, and everything else we do every day.

Higher gas prices also impact costs for municipal fleets, road work, and the materials and goods needed to keep municipalities operating.

There’s a lot to look forward to in Cornwall, and Supervisor Josh Wojehowski has been working to bring home the outside funding to make it happen.

That includes $4.5 million through NY Forward for seven projects, plus another $200,000 for Sands-Ring Homestead.

For Cornwall residents, that means better parks and downtowns, support for local businesses, preserving the places that make our town special, and improvements we’ll be able to see and enjoy in our community.

These investments are helping us take care of what we love about Cornwall while continuing to move our community forward. And we can’t wait to see these projects take shape right here at home!

We understand that the story of The Wells is complicated. The question of leadership isn’t.

The acquisition remained active after Helen Bunt became supervisor. Cornwall never acquired the water system, and the records we reviewed show no clear, documented conclusion explaining why.

Leadership isn’t simply holding office. It’s knowing what’s happening, protecting the Town’s interests, finishing the work — and taking responsibility when you don’t.
