🎄👕 Yes, we know... it's not even Halloween yet! 🎃

But if we want our Christmas shirts in time for all the fun holiday activities planned for December, we have to start now! Student Council is raising funds to help make our December celebrations extra special. Orders will be accepted through November 10, and shirts are expected to be delivered on December 1.

Intermediate students will receive their shirts in homeroom. Students from other campuses are welcome to order as well and can pick up their shirts after December 1. Mrs. Hinojosa will contact outside orders once the shirts arrive to arrange pickups for outside orders.

🇺🇸📜 A Step Back in Time! Mrs. Startz, Mrs. Hinojosa, Ms. Candelaria, and Ms. Suarez’s pod brought colonial history to life today! Students enjoyed reader’s theater, built projects, and played colonial games as they learned about life leading up to the American Revolution. What a fun, hands-on way to bring history to life! 🏛️✨

Our 5th Grade Oceans students had some special guests last week! 🌊🦪 Shelby & Tristian, scientists from Texas Surf Conservancy, joined us to dive into the importance of oysters in our coastal waters.

Students learned how oysters are ecosystem engineers, helping build reefs that can protect shorelines and coastal communities, while also filtering and cleaning our water. They even got to hold live oysters and watch them in action! 🔬🦪

A hands-on lesson about the incredible role oysters play in keeping our coastal ecosystem healthy! 🌊
