📢 School Immunization Reminder for Parents & Guardians
Keeping your child’s immunizations up to date helps protect your child, classmates, staff, and our school community. Immunizations are also an important requirement for school attendance.
📋 All students who are not up to date on required immunizations have received a notice listing their missing vaccines.
📅 Deadline: October 19
All incomplete immunizations are due October 19, after intersession. Please make the appropriate appointments as soon as possible to allow time for your child to receive any needed vaccines and provide updated documentation to the school.
📌 Exemptions: Students may qualify for an immunization exemption; however, the appropriate exemption form must be completed and submitted to the school.
If you have questions about your child's immunization record, requirements, or exemptions, please reach out to the school nurse. We are here to help support you and your child!

CCNCPHD offers no-cost vaccines children ages 18 and younger who are:
Uninsured
Underinsured
Enrolled in /Eligible for Medicaid
American or Alaskan Natives

We are excited to invite you to our Open House on Wednesday, October 7th, 2026, from 5:30–6:30 PM! 🎉
This special evening is a wonderful opportunity to meet with your child’s teachers, review 1st Grading Period progress and BOY assessment results, learn more about the curriculum and grade-level expectations, and connect with our Smith Elementary community.

🍭👻 Our Candy Monsters are HUNGRY! We’re gearing up for this year’s Trunk or Treat, and PTA is collecting donations of new, unopened bags of candy. 🍫🍬
Each grade level will compete to see who can collect the most pounds of candy! Students may also donate money in place of candy:
💵 $5 = 1 pound
💵 $10 = 2 pounds
…and so on!
All monetary donations should be turned in to Ms. Amy. We’ll share updates during the announcements to keep the friendly competition going! 🎃
🍕 The winning grade level will celebrate with a pizza party on October 30th, plus bragging rights and a special shoutout on the announcements!
