Operation Border Health (OBH) brought Texas State Guard service members together with incredible partners—The Texas Department of State Health Services, Remote Area Medical (RAM), UTRGV, Laredo College Nursing schools, and other local agencies—to deliver critical health services to underserved communities.

This preparedness exercise strengthens our ability to respond when disaster strikes.

"The purpose of the Texas State Guard's Dive Program is to provide public safety search, rescue, and recovery teams to assist local and state law enforcement in disaster response operations throughout Texas," said Dive Officer COL Armando Garza.

Serving on a Texas State Guard Public Safety Dive Team provides service members with opportunities to develop specialized technical skills while supporting disaster response, water rescue, and recovery operations across the state. Service members interested in learning more about dive team opportunities should first ensure they have the support of their chain of command and then contact the Texas State Guard Training Command’s Dive Training Company at [email protected] for additional information.
