Some calls stay with you forever. Recently, two crews from Corunna Area Ambulance responded to a terrifying emergency involving a young child who was actively seizing and not breathing. Thanks to the rapid response, teamwork, training, and professionalism of our crews, this child is alive and doing well today.
Recently, the child’s family stopped by our ambulance base to personally thank the crews involved. They brought a heartfelt handwritten poster, Jimmy John's subs, and a basket full of goodies for our staff. To see this child smiling, alive, and able to thank some of the crew members in person is something words cannot fully describe. Moments like this are exactly why we do what we do.
At Corunna Area Ambulance, we train continuously so that when seconds matter most, our crews are prepared to act quickly and effectively. Positive outcomes like this are the result of dedication, teamwork, and countless hours of education and training.
While seeing our patients recover is truly all the thanks we need, recognition from patients and families means more than you know. These thoughtful gestures help remind our crews that the long hours, missed meals, sleepless nights, and difficult calls truly make a difference.
A huge job well done to:
