Thank you to everyone who participated in our recent membership survey and to those who joined us for an engaging general meeting focused on the statewide candidates on the June Primary ballot.

Based on your input, we’re proud to share our Team Costa Mesa guide to help inform your vote:

✅ Fiona Ma for Lt. Governor
✅ Shirley Weber for Secretary of State
✅ Malia Cohen for Controller
✅ Eleni Kounalakis for Treasurer
✅ Rob Bonta for Attorney General
✅ Tom Umberg for Board of Equalization
✅ Robert Garcia for U.S. Congress
✅ Cottie Petrie-Norris for CA Assembly
✅ Katrina Foley for OC Supervisor
✅ Ami Sagel for Judge
✅ Robert Mestman for Judge

Note: Only candidates receiving at least 60% support from dues-paying members are included above.

Use this as a guide as you consider your choices in the June Primary, and most importantly, make a plan to vote early.

📬 Ballots will be mailed to all active registered California voters starting May 4, 2026
📍 Secure ballot drop-off locations open May 5, 2026
📮 Return your ballot by mail, at a drop box, or at your county elections office

We strongly urge you to vote as soon as you receive your ballot. Don’t wait: Last-minute issues can delay delivery and risk your vote not being counted.

🗳 In-person early voting opens Saturday, May 30, 2026
⏰ June 2, 2026, is Election Day, the final day to vote in person or return your ballot by 8:00 p.m.
📮 Vote-by-mail ballots must be postmarked by June 2. If mailing that day, be sure to get a hand-stamped postmark inside a USPS office. We’re really counting on Democrats to vote early. After your ballot is received and registered, your name is removed from statewide records, which means candidates don’t have to spend money following up to earn your vote.

Every vote matters. Make a plan. Vote early.
