It is OFFICIAL!!! I won the election for the Cottonwood Heights Parks and Recreation Service Area Board of Trustees District #2! I am excited to guide and support such a wonderful asset for our community! Thank you for your encouragement and help during the election process.

Well it has been one week since the election and many have contacted me for the results. There is a two week period where the votes come in and are counted through Salt Lake County Clerk's office. The majority of the votes are counted in the first few days after the election day and a few come in during the end of the two weeks to make sure every single vote is counted. On November 16 the Cottonwood Heights Parks and Recreation Service Area Board of Trustees will meet to canvas the votes, or verify the vote count.

With that said, here is the current vote count for the Trustee for District #2:
Total Votes 2,985/6,528 45.73%

Patti Hansen 1,385 54.23%
Carl "Pink" Evans 1,169 45.77%

I currently lead by 216 votes!!!!
It isn't final but it looks good and I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Meet the newest member of our family, Jupiter! He is an 8 week old corgi puppy 💖

One of the reasons I feel I can be effective as a Trustee for the Cottonwood Heights Parks and Recreation Service Area is I believe recreation and green space should be available to everyone. There are active and passive recreation participants, young and old. It provides the quality of life we enjoy in Cottonwood Heights and should be preserved and developed.

With over 40 years in the parks and recreation field, I want to bring the love of my community together with my admiration of the Cottonwood Heights Parks and Recreation Service Area by running for Trustee of District #2. I have recently retired and would like to lend my time and expertise to ensure we preserve and develop our beloved community asset.

My career journey has included:
• Recreation Director for Salt Lake City
• Program Manager and Administrative / Fiscal Manager for the Cottonwood Heights Parks and Recreation Service Area
• Executive Director for the Oquirrh Recreation and Parks District (largest recreation service area in the State).

I have been honored with many awards:
• Outstanding Community Contribution Award for the City of Cottonwood Heights
• Past President, Outstanding Management Professional and Lifetime Achievement Award for the Utah Recreation and Parks Association.

I have been a member of the Cottonwood Heights Recreation Center since 2007. My background gives me a thorough understanding of the needs of the Service Area in partnership with the desires of the District’s citizens. I would appreciate your vote!
