What I know with assurity is that
Police lie
Police lie about big things and small
Police lie out of convenience, and they lie to conceal
I was shocked at the extent to which police lie
Policing to me is a sollen oath to live by the highest ethical code and to live a life committed to public service
If we are ever to get close to that ideal, we must hold police accountable to the truth
Police are public servants, as such the public deserves to know the truth of their behavior
