🧪✨ Fifth Grade Science = SLIME TIME! ✨🧪
Our fifth graders got hands-on in science this week by making their own slime! Students practiced using pipettes to measure and mix ingredients, followed multi-step directions, and explored how different materials combine to create something new.

Who knew science could be this slimy AND fun?

🧦🎃 Candy Drive + Socktober! 🎃🧦

🍬 Candy Drive: We’re collecting treats for our Trunk-or-Treat on October 27! Individually wrapped candy and fruit snacks are both welcome and appreciated. Every donation helps make Halloween special for our Junior Jackets! The grade level that collects the most treats will win a popcorn party at recess!

🧦 Socktober: We’re collecting brand-new socks throughout October to support local families in need. Send donations to your child’s classroom teacher! The class that collects the most pairs will win a special prize! (We are accepting socks until the 28th)

Thank you for helping us make a difference in our community! 🐝💛💙

🐝 Character Strong: Respect! 💛💙

Every four weeks, Roosevelt staff members recognize students who exemplify our Character Strong trait of the month. Mr. Fisher meets with these students to discuss what the trait means and presents them with certificates to take home.

This month, we’re celebrating Respect — seeing value in all people and things and treating them with care. We’re proud of our Junior Jackets for showing respect every day! 🐝

📚🐾 One School, One Book: Fenway and Hattie! 🐾📚

Roosevelt families, get ready for a school-wide reading adventure! From November 2–30, our Preschool–5th Grade students and families will read Fenway and Hattie by Victoria J. Coe together!

Each week, we’ll read a few chapters at home, answer fun trivia questions at school on Friday mornings, and enter for a chance to win an exciting family prize package! The best part? Every family gets to keep their book!

We can’t wait to bring our Roosevelt community together through reading. Grab your book, snuggle up, and let the adventure begin!
