Students in Ms. Millar’s, Mr. K’s, and Ms Gunnink’s classes enjoyed a fun learning experience at Bellevue Berry Farm Friday! 🍁

They braved the cold temperatures to put their social skills into practice in a new environment. Outings like this give our students wonderful opportunities to connect, navigate public spaces, and build confidence outside the classroom. Thank you to everyone who helped make this trip a success!

Congratulations to this week’s Rue Rockstars, A’ Nyla and Landan! Their nominators wrote:

“Nala demonstrates excellence in working hard in class every day. In addition, Nala is willing to step up to help anyone who needs extra support. And, lastly, she stays cool and calm even when the school work gets challenging.”

“Landan is quick to make sure no one feels left out, asks others to be workplace partners.”

Way to go, A’ Nyla and Landan!!!!

On Wednesday Rue had a challenge to try to get into the top three classes with the best attendance. Well, our families surpassed the goal and we were able to reward SIX classes who had 100% attendance with zero tardies! Congrats to Ms. Irvin’s PreK class, Ms. Cantrell’s PreK class, Mrs. Kunkle’s 3rd grade class, Ms. Reed’s 4th grade class, Ms. Larvick’s 5th grade class, and Mrs. Leapely’s 5th grade class!

It is AAC awareness month. Jojo uses a talker as her voice. This morning she got to do the morning announcements with her friend Alex. Join us in celebrating their accomplishments and using her talker as a form of alternative communication!

Don’t forget — the book fair is happening ALL WEEK LONG! If you missed out on our extended hours Monday night, your child is still able to visit during the school day. Mrs. Roberts got some fun restock items today too! We can’t wait to see what our students pick out the last few days!

🌟 Calling all our Student Superstars! 🌟

We know our students are absolute rockstars inside the classroom—but they shine just as bright outside of school, too! Whether they are striking it big in bowling, tumbling through gymnastics, scoring goals in soccer, mastering karate, or pursuing any other passion, we want to celebrate them! ⚽️🎳🥋🤸‍♀️

We are building a Wall of Fame with James B. Rue and want to feature your child!
📸 How to participate: Bring a printed photo of your child doing what they love to the front office. We can’t wait to display their accomplishments and cheer them on!

Let's show off all the incredible talent in our school family! 💙
