Last Thursday, our Council Bluffs consumers gathered to celebrate our Voter Rights & Empowerment Day, a special event focused on the importance of civic engagement and having a voice in our communities. This event was paid for in part by a sponsorship from our friends at the Iowa DD Council.

We were honored to welcome guest speakers who shared valuable information about the voting process, voter rights, accessibility, and the impact each person can make by participating in elections. Thank you to our civic community leaders, John Norwood, Margaret Hicks, Keith Jones, and Susan Miller for taking the time to educate and inspire our consumers.

Events like these help promote self-advocacy and informed decision-making while encouraging individuals to exercise one of their most important rights as citizens.

At Vodec, we believe every voice matters, and we're proud to support opportunities that empower the people we serve to be active participants in their communities.

💙 Thank you to everyone who helped make this event a success!

Vodec is excited to celebrate the fall season with our annual Fall Festival Celebration on October 15th!

Last year, we had a wonderful turnout and served a large number of individuals at our celebration. With participation continuing to grow and the cost of food and supplies increasing, we are kindly asking our families, employees, and community partners for donations to help make this year’s event possible.

We are currently looking for donations of:
• Pumpkins
• Hamburger
• Hay bales
• Candy
• C***r
• Grocery store gift cards

Any donation, large or small, would be greatly appreciated and will help us provide a fun and memorable fall celebration for the individuals we serve.

If you are able to donate, please bring your donation to Vodec by October 7th.
Thank you for helping us continue this tradition and for being part of the Vodec community! Your generosity makes a difference and helps us create meaningful opportunities for the people we serve.

Thank you for your support!

Last week, Saturday came a little early in Omaha! 🌽🏈 We kicked off the day with our own Husker Tunnel Walk through the halls, bringing plenty of excitement and team spirit.

Special shoutout to the Michigan fan who somehow snuck into the tunnel. We're still investigating how security let that happen. 😄
