✨ Work Sample Glow Up! ✨
What makes a great student work sample? 💛 It’s more than just completing an assignment! Work samples are formal pieces of student work that demonstrate the learning and skills your student has achieved during a specific Learning Period (LP) in a particular subject.
Here are a few helpful reminders to make sure your student’s work sample is ready to shine! 🌟
📝 1. Include First and Last Name:
Every work sample needs your student’s first and last name. For our TK and Kindergarten learners, parents may write the name in highlighter for students to trace as they build their writing skills!
📅 2. Add the Date of Completion:
Students must include the date the work was completed. For handwritten work, both the name and date must be handwritten. For typed work, the name may be typed.
🎯 3. Show Grade-Level Learning:
Choose work that addresses grade-level standards and clearly demonstrates what your student has learned in the specific subject during the Learning Period.
📚 4. Complete It During the Learning Period:
Work samples must be completed on a school day within the designated Learning Period date range. Be sure to double-check those dates!
⭐ 5. Show Their BEST Work:
Look for work that is complete, neat, easy to read, and representative of your student’s abilities. We want to see their learning shine!
Remember, work samples help tell the story of your student’s growth and learning. A little extra attention to these details can make a big difference! 💛
Thank you, parents, for supporting your learners and helping them put their best work forward! ✨
