🚒🔥 Fire Prevention Week at Thrall & Coupland ISDs! 🔥🚒

Williamson County ESD 10 had a great time visiting Thrall and Coupland ISDs for Fire Prevention Week! Our firefighters enjoyed spending time with the students and teaching them important fire safety skills that can help keep them and their families safe.

From learning about fire prevention to understanding what to do in an emergency, these lessons help build safer homes and stronger communities. 🧯🏠

A big thank you to the staff and students at both school districts for welcoming us and making this week a success! We appreciate the opportunity to serve our community beyond the fireground.

Remember: Learn the sounds of fire safety and make sure you have a plan!

As hunters head outdoors this weekend, remember that many activities associated with hunting and camping can accidentally start a wildfire.

Vehicles, trailers, ATVs/UTVs and campfires can all cause wildfires when conditions are dry.

Before heading out...
🔥 Check local burn bans and restrictions
🔥Avoid driving or parking on dry grass
🔥Make sure trailer chains don’t drag on the road
🔥Always fully extinguish campfires before leaving

With firefighters currently responding to wildfires across Texas, everyone can do their part to help prevent the next one.

Your ESD10 firefighters were dispatched today to a structure fire within the City of Coupland. Thanks to having the station staffed, crews arrived on scene in just 3 minutes and 11 seconds, allowing for a rapid initial attack.

Due to the extreme heat and the demanding workload, additional resources were requested to assist. Crews made a quick stop on the fire, but unfortunately the home did sustain significant damage.

Most importantly, everyone made it out safely, and no civilian injuries were reported.

We’d like to extend our sincere appreciation to our mutual aid partners from Bastrop/Travis County ESD No. 1, Hutto Fire Rescue, Pflugerville Fire Department, and Williamson County EMS for their assistance and teamwork. Working together makes all the difference.

Huge Shout Out to BS Tire in Thorndale!

During the fire incident on February 27th, in Thrall one of our apparatus experienced a flat tire in the field, which immediately put the unit out of service.

Richard Schneider dropped what he was doing and came straight out to us without hesitation. Thanks to his quick response and expertise, he had us back up and running in no time.

We’re incredibly grateful for businesses like BS Tire that support first responders and our community when it matters most.

Thank you, Richard, for your dedication and outstanding service!
