Back in December, Abby reached out because she wanted to help our mission. Since then, she has done so much for our Wish Families, including starting an A Wish Come True Club at her school. Most recently, Abby organized a fundraiser during her softball game and raised an amazing $1,310 to help us continue granting magical wishes and embracing families.✨

Abby's connection to our mission is especially meaningful. When her dad was a teenager battling bone cancer, A Wish Come True granted his wish to attend the All-Star Baseball Game. Years later, Abby is giving back so that other children and families can experience the same hope, joy, and support that her family received.

✨ Avyana's Wish Come True ✨

Avyana and her family recently returned from an unforgettable wish trip to Walt Disney World and Give Kids The World Village, and they truly had the time of their lives! 🏰✨

The highlight of the trip was meeting Cinderella. Avyana's family had no idea just how much she loved her and were completely surprised by her reaction. Seeing her light up during that special moment became one of their favorite memories from the entire trip. 👑💙

While visiting Give Kids The World Village, Avyana also placed her star, leaving her mark alongside thousands of other wish children. The family was also able to connect with the Krowel family, a former A Wish Come True wish family who now lives in Florida and volunteers at Give Kids The World. It was a special opportunity for two AWCT families to connect and share in the magic of the wish experience together. ⭐

Most importantly, the trip gave Avyana and her family precious time together, creating memories filled with joy, laughter, and love that they will hold onto forever.

One simple conversation could connect a family to a magical wish, valuable resources, and a supportive community that understands their journey. 💛

Many families don't realize they may qualify for A Wish Come True. Others may assume their child's illness isn't severe enough, that applications are complicated, or that receiving a wish might take opportunities away from another child. None of those things are true.

At A Wish Come True, we provide wishes at no cost to families, and we continue embracing families before, during, and after the wish through family events, holiday and birthday support, emergency hardship assistance, and more.

Anyone can make a referral, including parents, family members, friends, teachers, nurses, social workers, and community members.

If you know a child between the ages of 3 and 18 living in Rhode Island, Central or Southeastern Massachusetts, or Eastern Connecticut who is facing a life-threatening illness, please help us connect with them.
