🍂🍁 LEAF PICKUP BEGINS OCTOBER 15! 🍁🍂
It’s that time of year again! The City of Covington Public Works Department will begin seasonal leaf pickup on Thursday, October 15.
Before you start raking those leaves to the curb, please help our crews by following these guidelines:
🧹 Yard Waste Guidelines:
• Place yard waste away from mailboxes, light poles, water meters, fences, fire hydrants, and other obstacles.
• Please avoid placing leaves or yard waste under low-hanging branches.
• 🚫 Do NOT place yard waste in drainage ditches, in the street, on sidewalks, on cul-de-sac islands, or on vacant lots.
• Branches should be cut to 5 feet or shorter and be no more than 12 inches in diameter. Larger branches must be removed by the property owner.
⚠️ VERY IMPORTANT: LEAVES AND BRANCHES MUST BE SEPARATED!
Our leaf vacuum and branch truck are different pieces of equipment. If leaves and branches are mixed together, our crews will not be able to pick them up.
🍁 Leaves in one pile. Branches in another. 🌳
Thank you for helping our Public Works crews work safely and efficiently while keeping Covington looking its best! 🧡
