In honor of the life and legacy of our country music legend / appalachian diva / literacy advocate Dolly Parton, we have set up this display. She was a friend to all libraries and made literacy possible for so many. Feel free to read about her life in her biography or check out one of the many imagination library books in our circulation. RIP Dolly, you will be missed 🩷🪽

Hello! My name is Alexandra Sawyer, as promised I have come to introduce myself as the new director of our fine library! I am a recent graduate of Marshall University where I studied Fine Art and English. I am a WV native and local of Cowen. I am so greatfuI to have this opportunity to serve our town in a way that really makes a difference. I want our library to grow and thrive under my direction.I hope to make the necessary changes to serve our community's contemporary needs. I am always open to suggestions and would love to hear from all of you! This line of work is new to me, so I am still on a long road of learning. I appreciate everyone's patience with myself and the library during this time of transition. Additionally I would like to personally thank all of our wonderful donors and fundraiser participants for your generosity and continued support! We could not have done it without you. Please be sure to follow our page as many of updates and notices are posted here first. I look forward to meeting many of you in the coming weeks!

As always, stay curious and read something!

Caio,
Alex
