Our kennels are full, our puppies are growing up behind bars, and we are running out of space. 💔 These babies deserve a chance to experience what it feels like to be in a home, even if that home is only temporary!

Meet Jezebel, a beautiful 6–8-month-old girl with a heart of gold and so much love to give! She's a smaller-to-medium-sized girl who does well with other dogs and doesn't seem to mind cats. 🐾 A DAY IN THE LIFE WITH MELODY! 🐾

Ever wonder what a day in the life of a shelter dog looks like? Well, let us introduce you to Miss Melody! 🐶💕

Melody is a sweet girl who has so much love to give, and she’s patiently waiting for someone to see just how special she is. ❤️

While her days currently consist of kennel life, our ACO staff, and hoping someone will finally pick her, Melody dreams of something more. A cozy couch, a family to call her own, and a place where she can finally settle in and be someone's whole world. 🏡🐾

Now, Melody does have a few requirements for her happily ever after! 👀

🐾 She needs to be the **ONLY dog** in the home.
🐾 She seems to do well with cats!
🐾 She does well on a leash, and with a little practice, she can become even better!
🐾 A **privacy-fenced yard is required** for her new home.

Melody isn't asking for a mansion or a life full of fancy things. She just needs the right person, a safe place to land, and a family willing to love her for who she is. 🥹💗

I went for a little walkabout and somehow managed to lose my way! Now I’m hoping someone recognizes me and can help me find my way back home. 🏡🐶

As winter approaches, here is a friendly reminder to help keep our pets safe and warm! 🐾❄️
​If you have outdoor pets, proper winterization is essential:
❄️Adequate Shelter: Ensure they have a safe, dry, and warm space elevated off the frozen ground.
❄️​Protection & Size: The shelter should be fully covered and insulated—just big enough for your pet to stand up and turn around easily (this helps retain their body heat!).
❄️​Please remember: Use straw instead of blankets! Blankets absorb moisture, freeze, and make pets colder, whereas straw provides excellent insulation and stays dry.
