🔥🚒 FIRE PREVENTION WEEK 2026 🚒🔥

As we kick off Fire Prevention Week, this year we are focusing on Lithium-Ion Batteries.

“Charge into Fire Safety™: Lithium-Ion Batteries in Your Home”

Lithium-ion batteries power many of the things we use every day—from phones, tablets, and laptops to power tools, e-bikes, and other rechargeable devices.

This week, we’ll be sharing information on how to safely BUY, CHARGE, and RECYCLE lithium-ion batteries and the devices they power.

Use the correct charger for your device.
Charge devices on a hard, stable surface—not on beds, couches, or under pillows.
Stop using batteries that are swollen, damaged, unusually hot, leaking, or giving off an odor.
Never throw lithium-ion batteries in the regular trash or recycling bin.
Purchase devices and batteries from reputable manufacturers and retailers.

A little prevention can make a big difference.

Stay tuned throughout Fire Prevention Week for more safety tips from the Coyne Center Fire Protection District!

2691 RECEIVED AN UPGRADE TODAY!

Thanks to the incredible support of everyone who participated in and supported our annual golf outing, we’ve been able to continue improving our equipment.

Proceeds from last year’s golf outing helped us purchase a used 2017 Polaris side-by-side, which became Unit 2691.

This year, we were able to take the next step and purchase a brand-new KIMTEK Corporation brush skid unit for 2691, increasing its capabilities for brush and wildland fire responses.

These improvements are made possible by the support of our golfers, sponsors, donors, and community members. Thank you for continuing to support Coyne Center Fire Protection District and our annual golf outing!

Your support directly helps us purchase equipment that allows us to better serve and protect our community.

Today, we remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and to honor the courage and sacrifice shown in the face of unimaginable tragedy.

We remember the 343 FDNY firefighters, along with the law enforcement officers, EMS personnel, military members, civilians, and countless others whose lives were forever changed that day.

🚒 Annual Fire Hose Testing 🔥

Last week, a crew from Fire Catt was at our station completing our annual fire hose testing. Every foot of hose we carry was tested to help ensure it’s ready and safe when we need it.

Now for the fun part…

Any guesses how many total feet of fire hose we carry on our trucks? 🤔🚒

Drop your guess in the comments! 👇

🚒 A huge thank you to all of our volunteers and their families who gave their time to help make this event possible. Without your hard work and support, this outing would not be the success that it is.
