Troop 148's Annual Pancake Breakfast is in two weeks!

The Scouts of Troop 148 had fun last week talking to students about the scouting program at Crafton Elementary's Family Reading Night!

Thank you to everyone who donates their aluminum cans to Troop 148's Can Trailer!
Today the scouts worked hard to recycle the cans to raise funds for all the great programing we do throughout the year.
The aluminum can trailer in Crafton Park is empty again if you have aluminum cans!

Do you have a scout-aged child (11 to 17 years old)? Do you think they might benefit from the Scouting Program?

Come to our Bowling Open House and learn more about what our Scout Troop does and how your child would benefit!

Thank you Crafton! This weekend the Scouts of Troop 148 went and collected, inspected, and sorted Food for the Crafton-Ingram Food Bank. This photo shows just a few of the tables that were filled due to the community's donations!

Scouts in Troop 148 went out tonight to hang door-hangers for the Scouting for Food food drive!

If you live in Crafton, east of the Bus Way, you can place a bag of Food on your front porch the morning of Saturday the 22nd, and the Scouts will come by and pick it up between 10 AM and Noon. If you live west west of the Bus Way or in surrounding communities you can drop off food at the First Baptist Church at 1 Oregon Ave. with Bsa Crafton Pa Troop 147.

Donated food will go to the Crafon-Ingram Food Bank!

Troop 148 will be selling popcorn for the Carnegie Crawl tonight. Please stop by and buy some POPCORN!!!

The National Scholarship Program for the 2026 National Jamboree is designed specifically for Scouts who dream of joining this life-changing experience but may need financial support to make it happen.

🔍 What You Need to Know:
• Scholarships cover a portion of the national registration fee.
• Additional council fees (travel, gear, etc.) are not included.
• Full scholarships are rare; most awards cover less than half the national fee.
• Staff members are not eligible, but those aged 16–29 receive a reduced staff fee.

🗓️ Deadlines:
• Round 1: Apply by July 31, 2025 (notifications in early Fall)
• Round 2: Apply by November 30, 2025 (notifications by mid-Winter)

📝 How to Apply:
1. Visit the official Jamboree site: Jamboree.Scouting.org/participants
2. Complete the online scholarship application.
3. Submit by the appropriate deadline.

Troop 148 will be selling drinks during the Fireworks in Crafton Park on Friday. Water $1 and pop and Gatorade $2. Does anyone know any bar or restaurant that would want to donate ice to the scouts? We need to keep our drinks cold.

Great Job Jackson!!! Jack did his Eagle Scout project at the Carnegie Library. He made a native garden. We would like to thank, The Gismondi Foundation for providing the grant and The Plant Expert Chris Litherland.
