RCTA is considering service changes to address ongoing operating funding constraints. No final decision has been made.

Changes under consideration include:

Shorter Saturday and holiday service hours
Possible reduction or elimination of Saturday service
Earlier final weekday trips on Routes 1, 3 and 4

The RCTA Board is expected to consider proposed changes on Sept. 28, 2026, at 5:30 p.m.

Rider Alert: Possible Fall 2026 Service Changes

RCTA is considering possible service and fare changes that may affect Saturday and evening service, local routes, Routes 20 and 199, fares and the Free Ride Program.

No changes have been approved.

The RCTA Board will discuss the possible changes at its next meeting:

RIDER ALERT! Eureka Transit Center (3rd & H) is CLOSED TODAY. The Eureka Transit Center is closed today, Saturday July 13th, for a special event. RCTA riders wishing to catch Route 20 northbound this afternoon from Eureka (towards Crescent City) are advised to catch Route 20 at Eureka VA Clinic, the Eureka hospitals, or in Arcata at either Arcata Transit Center or Cal Poly Library Circle stops.
