Today is the Great ShakeOut, with the main earthquake drill scheduled for 10:15 a.m. This is an opportunity for our schools, families, and community to focus on earthquake and tsunami preparedness.

Throughout the day, families may hear sirens or drill announcements and see students, staff, or community members practicing safety procedures. Please do not be alarmed by these scheduled exercises—they are practice activities, not a response to an actual emergency. As always, continue to follow any official emergency alerts and instructions.

We encourage families to use today as a reminder to review your emergency plan, become familiar with local tsunami evacuation routes, and talk with your children about what to do during an emergency. Thank you for helping build a safer, more prepared community!
