Free at-home syphilis tests are available at Public Health.

Stop by and pick up a FREE test or ask us about STI testing and treatment. Syphilis is treatable and curable. Knowing your status is an important step in protecting yourself and your partners.

When should you get tested?
•You've had new or multiple s*xual partners
•You've had s*x without a condom
•A s*xual partner has tested positive for syphilis
•You have an unusual sore or rash
•You're due for a routine STI screening

A positive result on a self-test alone doesn't diagnose syphilis.

Follow up with your provider if your test comes back positive. A negative test doesn't always rule out syphilis! If you've had a recent exposure or have symptoms, you should still follow up with your provider.

If you're pregnant, be sure to get routine syphilis blood testing through your prenatal care provider even if your home test is negative. Syphilis can cause serious complications during pregnancy if it is not treated.

It’s Teen Driver Safety Week! Teen drivers have the power to make choices to stay safe behind the wheel.

Before driving:
- Put distractions – like cell phones – away
- Secure your seat belt
- Remove ear buds/headphones and keep music at a reasonable level

While driving:
- Focus on the road
- Keep two hands on the wheel
- Follow all traffic laws
