Today, we remember September 11, 2001 a day that forever changed our nation.

We remember those whose lives were taken, those who gave everything to help others, and the families and communities forever changed that day. Their courage, sacrifice, and strength will never be forgotten.

25 years later, we remember, we honor, we stand together and we will never forget.

Big news! We are breaking ground!!

We are excited to announce that we are officially breaking ground on our new building addition!

The Barrett Township Volunteer Fire Company is excited to begin the next chapter in our company’s future with the construction of a second building! This project will expand our emergency response capabilities, provide additional space for apparatus and specialized equipment, support firefighter training, maintenance, and emergency preparedness.

We would like to extend a huge thank you to those already helping make this project possible

Mike Bryant / Bryant Excavating & Marshall Machinery for generously providing a rental machine at no charge.

Bill Barry Quarry for working with us on discounted stone.

We couldn’t have done this project without the incredible support of our community, donors and sponsors.

If you are interested in making a donation toward this project or would like more information about how you can support the new addition contact the firehouse 570-595-7777 / [email protected]

Thank You, Rotary of the Pocono Mountains!

Their generous donation that helped us purchase new radios for our fire company. Because of your support, we are not only able to improve communication within our company, but we are also able to provide radio communications for Rotary events and activities when needed.

Thank you Pocono Township Fire Dept. Station 34 for taking the time to bring their tower truck out to train our guys for our weekly drill and Weiler Abrasives for allowing us to practice these skills at your facility.

Our members had the opportunity to go over the proper operations, setup, and hookup procedures for their tower truck so our crews are better prepared to work together safely and efficiently on mutual aid calls in the future.

Last night the our crews responded to a hydraulic fluid leak involving a delivery truck making a delivery at Skytop Lodge. An estimated 40 to 50 gallons of hydraulic fluid was released. Our crews contained the leak before it could enter the lake or cause any environmental damage to the golf course.

Our crews deployed our Special Operations Trailer, equipped with large quantities of absorbent material including Speedy Dry and hazmat absorbent pads, allowing us to rapidly contain and mitigate the spill.
This incident is a perfect example of how the funds raised through our fundraising are put to work. Thanks to the incredible support of our community through our fundraisers and generous donations, we were able to purchase this HazMat trailer.
