We Move You! Providing air and ground transportation to the Gunnison Valley!

The mission of the Gunnison Valley Transportation Authority (RTA) is to provide and improve air transportation to and from the Gunnison-Crested Butte Regional Airport on a year-round basis, to provide a long term and energy efficient public transit system between the north and south ends of the Highway 135 corridor, and to provide senior and human services transportation in Gunnison County.

🚲 BIKE RIDERS: DON’T LET SUNSET SNEAK UP ON YOU! 🌅

The days are getting shorter, which means our bike racks have to call it a day a little earlier, too.

For safety reasons, bicycles cannot be carried on RTA buses after dark because bikes on the front rack can block the bus headlights.

A few reminders before you ride:
• Bike racks hold 3 bikes and are first-come, first-served.
• Riders are responsible for loading and securing their own bikes.
• If you’re biking later in the day, check the sunset time and plan your return trip accordingly.
• Not sure how to use the rack? Just ask your driver!

We love helping you combine two wheels + the bus to get around the valley.
Just remember: when the sun goes down, the bikes stay off the bus.

Good morning Highway 135 Travelers! The cows are coming home!!! We have two drives this coming week.

This coming Wednesday, September 30, 2026, we will be bringing a herd down Brush Creek Road from Trampe's gate to across from Skyland. Look for us after noon, not certain precisely when we'll get there, but hoping to be done by three. If you are coming for photos, please be respectful of the herd and don't put yourself in a position that slows down the cows and cowboys (you will get yelled at if you turn the herd).

THE FOLLOWING MORNING THURSDAY, OCTOBER 1, 2026, WE WILL BE COMING DOWN THE HIGHWAY BETWEEN 7:30 AND 9:30 AM. We will start across from Riverland and head south to mile marker 22. We will, as always, do our best to keep the ladies to one side of the road, but cows will be cows. Same photo rules apply.

This begins our fall gather, so we'll try and keep you updated on the big drives. However, we will have herds crossing the road randomly so please be aware and be watchful. As always, be safe, slow down, and enjoy the ride!
