Please help us in welcoming Triston Davidson as our new North Thompson Project Coordinator, serving portions of Adair County Soil and Water Conservation District, Madison County Soil & Water Conservation District, and Union County SWCDs!

Hello, My name is Triston Davidson. I am the new North Thompson Project Coordinator for Adair, Union, and Madison Counties. I live in Winterset with my wife Madilyn, but I am originally from Orient. I was in the FFA all four years of high school and was involved in their soil judging team where we were able to succeed and go to state. Growing up in the area I am very familiar with the land and people hoping to assist in any way that I can. After graduation I attended Southwestern Community College where I majored in wildlife management for a year until I went into the work force and held multiple agricultural jobs including my position as the Madison County SWCD Technician for the past two years. Coming from a small town I have always been very involved in agriculture I look forward to continuing my time with the SWCD and improving producer needs and improving my knowledge and learning as much as I can.

What a great way to end Soil and Water Conservation Week; with the sign up opening for Cover Crops for this Fall! There are two rate options available which vary depending on if the applicant has installed cover crops prior. Funding goes fast! If you're contemplating planting cover crops this Fall, swing in or give us a call soon! (Best chances at getting approved are applying prior to July 1)
