Just 30 minutes south of Chicago, Crete-Monee School District 201-U is located in a dynamic, largely professional, south suburban community. This award-winning district boasts one of the most envied mathematics programs in the State of Illinois, a national championship choral music program and is home to the 2014 State Championship Varsity Football program. With a growing population of approximately 5,000 students in grades K-12, School District 201-U represents a wide range of social, cultural and religious backgrounds.

Our students and staff are looking forward to a fun-filled week of activities that promote healthy choices, positive attitudes, and living drug-free! We had a great turnout at our district-wide Coat Giveaway Drive on Saturday! Families found coats, jackets, hats, scarves, gloves, and other essentials to help them stay warm this fall and winter. 🧣

We’re also grateful to the local community organizations that joined us to share goodies, connect with families, and provide information about the valuable services available throughout our communities.

Thank ‘U’ to everyone who helped make this event a success! Together, we’re keeping our community warm and supporting the families who make up the ‘U.’

On Friday, the CMHS Student Attendance Committee brought the Attendance Matters Tour to Coretta Scott King Magnet School in University Park! Students had a blast answering trivia questions about attendance and learning why showing up to school every day matters. 🙌

Thinking about serving on the Crete-Monee School District 201-U Board of Education? Four Board of Education seats will be filled in the April 6, 2027, Consolidated Election, representing Districts 1, 2, 4, and 5. Each seat carries a four-year term.

Prospective candidates can begin by circulating nominating petitions and must file their completed nomination papers with the Will County Clerk’s Office between November 16–23, 2026. No weekend filing will be available, and the Clerk’s Office will remain open until 5 p.m. on November 23.
