🍳🔥 COOKING FIRE SAFETY

Cooking fires can happen quickly — never leave cooking unattended and keep towels, paper, and other combustibles away from the stove.

🔥 If a pan catches fire, turn off the heat and cover it with a lid. Never use water on a grease fire!

Keep kids and pets away from the cooking area and always have a clear path out.

Stay in the kitchen. Stay alert. Prevent fires! 🚒

🧯🔥 FIRE EXTINGUISHER SAFETY

Keep your extinguisher visible, accessible, and ready to use. Check the pressure gauge regularly to make sure it’s in the proper range.

ABC extinguishers are common for homes:
A – Wood, paper & trash
B – Flammable liquids
C – Electrical fires

Remember PASS: Pull the pin, Aim at the base, Squeeze the handle, Sweep side to side.

⚠️ Only fight a small, contained fire with a clear escape route. Never turn your back on the fire. If it’s growing or you’re unsure — get out, stay out, and call 911! 🚒

🔥🏠 KNOW 2 WAYS OUT!

Every family should have a home fire escape plan. Know two ways out of every room make sure all exits are clear and have a designated meeting place outside.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 If you have kids, practice home fire drills so everyone knows exactly what to do when an alarm sounds.

🚒 Why is a meeting place important? When firefighters arrive, knowing everyone is accounted for is critical. If someone is missing, firefighters may have to enter and search under dangerous conditions.

Get out, stay out, and NEVER go back inside — no matter what. Meet at your designated spot and wait for firefighters. 🚒

🔥🔋 CHARGE INTO FIRE SAFETY!

Lithium-ion batteries power many things we use every day — phones, laptops, power tools, e-bikes, toys, and more. Always purchase batteries, chargers, and devices from reputable manufacturers, use the correct charger, and charge on a hard, flat surface away from beds and couches.

⚠️ Watch for warning signs like swelling, overheating, strange smells, leaking, hissing, or smoke. If something doesn’t seem right, stop using the device.

A few simple steps can help prevent fires and keep you and your family safe.
