Today, the United States Navy turns 251. Since 1775, sailors have stood watch on the world’s oceans, protecting our nation and our freedom.
Some of the GVSOs in our NACVSO family wore the Navy uniform themselves. To them, and to every sailor past and present: thank you. Happy birthday, U.S. Navy!

On September 15th, Congresswoman Nancy Mace, from South Carolina, was the 218th signature needed for H. RES 1247, the discharge petition for H.R. 2102, the Major Richard Star Act. It will now be scheduled for a floor vote in the House of Representatives!
This is the clean, standalone version of MSRA and does not have the controversial VA disability reductions in it.

This version still has to pass the House and the Senate.

If you believe it's time for Congress to end the "wounded warrior tax", then please reach out to your Representative and Senators to let them know that it is time to stop penalizing medically retired service members.
