The funding will help departments purchase firefighting apparatus, fire and rescue equipment, protective clothing and other resources needed to serve their communities.

Rural volunteer fire departments are often the first to respond when wildfires and other emergencies occur. Through this program, Texas A&M Forest Service provides funding to help departments across the state strengthen their response capabilities.

Where do we conduct our courses? 📍

All of our classes are conducted ONLINE 🙌 💻

This is one of the most frequently asked questions regarding our courses. We DO NOT have a physical location for teaching our courses, so you can take them wherever you are.

Every course we offer is conducted entirely ONLINE, except for a single day of in-person skill assessment - and enrollment for all courses is also available online through our website, it doesn't get easier than that 😉

Regarding that one-day in-person assessment, you have several choices:

🚒 You can arrange for someone from your department who meets the qualifications for this evaluation (The requirements are that they must hold certification in the subject being assessed and be a current approved TCFP field examiner)

🚒 You may visit us in Crosby (located in Northeast Houston Metro) for a fee of $220 per day

🚒 Alternatively, we can travel to your location – if you are situated more than 80 miles from Houston, additional travel costs will be added to the daily fee of $220

If multiple people are participating in the skill assessment that day, the $220 daily fee can be shared among you ☝️

The one-day in-person assessment will be scheduled when you register for a course. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any further inquiries.
