Last night, during the City Council meeting, we had the honor of recognizing and celebrating the retirement of Captain Seth Wannebo from the Crosslake Fire Department.

Seth dedicated over 20 years of service to our department and community. Seth also served on several fire deployments outside of our area. We are incredibly grateful for the time, dedication, expertise, and commitment Seth has given to the department and the community he served. We are also grateful for the sacrifices his family has made over the years!

Thank you, Seth, for answering the call these last 20 years! Your service has made a lasting impact!

We remember the lives lost and the heroes who answered the call on September 11, 2001. We honor their courage, sacrifice, and selflessness, stand with the families and survivors, and carry their legacy with us. We will never forget!

Today, we had the honor to recognize our fallen brother, Firefighter Retiree Dave Demcho, to rest.

Dave dedicated 28 years of service to the Crosslake Fire Department and 35 years with North Memorial Ambulance. His life was defined by a deep commitment to serving others and caring for his community.

We are grateful for Dave’s dedication, his service, his family’s sacrifice and the lasting impact he made on our community.

Rest easy, Dave.
