Thank you so much Ryan and Jenifer for not only the informative tour and delicious lunch (kudos to Chef Amelia!) but allowing us to meet some of the dedicated staff and volunteers. And to you CP, a shoutout to all of you for the level of volunteerism you give to this great organization. Our city has one of the highest numbers of volunteers that help serve these 2,200 meals daily over the 7 different counties. Yet another reason I love my hometown 🇺🇸

Yesterday, Mayor Pete Land and Chief of Staff Anthony Schlueter stopped by Meals on Wheels of Northwest Indiana for a tour and lunch with CEO Ryan Elinkowski and Director of Development Jenifer Okamura.

In the Crown Point area alone, Meals on Wheels NWI delivered nearly 20,000 meals to 150 clients in 2025. On average, the organization delivers 2,200 meals daily to clients across Lake, Porter, LaPorte, Newton, Starke, Pulaski and Jasper counties.

In 2025, 105 people from the Crown Point area volunteered with Meals on Wheels. Learn more about volunteering to supply nutritious meals to our community at mownwi.org
